Delivery Methods
Tilt Tray Truck
The most common and cost-effective method. Best when the truck can reverse directly into the final position and slide the unit into place. Requires sufficient driving space and solid ground.
Crane Truck
Ideal for sites with limited access, fences, or where the unit needs to be lifted over obstacles. Essential for steep gradients or tight residential blocks.
Access Requirements
- Minimum Width: 3.2mCheck for narrow gates, tight turns, fences, or overhanging trees that might block the path.
- Minimum Height: 4.0mBeware of low-hanging branches, power lines, and house eaves along the driveway.
Ground & Drainage Preparation
Your site must be level and compact. It is crucial to prepare footings or a foundation before delivery. Typically, this involves concrete piers, a slab, or compacted gravel pads as per your engineering certificate. Ensure there is adequate ground drainage so water flows away from the footprint of the home.
Delivery Day Checklist
- Clear all vehicles, debris, and materials from the access path.
- Ensure the ground is dry and solid (trucks cannot drive on muddy or soft ground).
- Have your trades (plumber/electrician) scheduled only after the home is fully sited and unfolded.
- Prepare your footings strictly according to the provided engineering plans.
